Poker tourney
Bluffing doesn't work all the time. People undermining you in this game actually helps. Slow playing your cards? Think about it twice! Always bet atleast three times the pot size if you want to steal the pot from weaker players. Your odds increase if you raise, instead of calling, since it could force an opponent to fold. If you are the dealer you have position above the opponents and if you are under the gun it can either work for you or BADLY against you. AND always play the player and not your cards, if you know the player well. These are the mediocre and commonplace tricks I used to play the poker tourney yesterday and I won. Its amazing how discipline matters in poker and how patience until the right time is critical. This is the second time I have won with two tables and a group of 14 (we normally split if there are more than 10 people). I am amongst the very few guys who are positive in winnings and average more than 1 point per tourney (1st place - 5 points, 2nd place - 3 points, 3rd place - 2points).
