A Half Century

I could have never foreseen blogging as one of the things I could do. But here I am, doing it for the fiftieth time. A lot happened this weekend. Sumera and I finally decided on the sofa and love seat. We figured out that buying a new one is better than allowing someone to dump their filthy unwanted piece of crap on us. Quite an overstatement! We bought new ones simply because our friend (Srinu) knew about this warehouse where you get furniture in dirt cheap prices. The same furniture in a showroom would cost you double. We also got a bed. So its bye bye to sleeping bags and that menial way of living. We also found some paintings from a moving sale. BOY there are a zillion ads in craigslist for garage / yard /moving sale in the bay area.
We met Srinu, Ashutosh and his wife Swati, and Suppini this weekend. We went bowling, PF Changs, and then to Srinus place where we assembled his foosball table. It took him, ashutosh, me, and our beers, around 2 hrs to fix it. And then we played till 2:30 in the morning.
Albertsons had a blowout sale going on for a month. But since today was the last day, this weekend was 70% off the inventory. We took advantage of this opportunity and got a couple of californian wines. One of them is a blend of sauvignon and shiraz. Din't open it yet. Waiting for the right moment.
