INDIA AHA!
2 years ago I lost it. Then I found it back after a month. This time I had to make a new one if I was to get my H1B. I have finally got rid of my jinxed passport. Well it still clings to my new passport but it aint valid now. Two India trips - zillion trips to the passport office - frustrating encounters with the senseless, stubborn and condescending officers - and above all pleading in front of the GHAATI police officers for FIR and police clearance. It really shows you the next-to-hell state of this country.
But then when I remember the fun I had in India it all goes off. Delhi was fun. Four days of continuous drinking, a good new year eve party, going to meerut and meeting my grandmom and ranga mama, meeting muna mama & family for three consecutive days.I couldn't have asked for more from this trip. After coming back I had my visa interview when I came to know about the damaged passport. I wanted to bash that officer since the lamination was a bit off and it wasnt a serious issue. But got busy with the passport application procedure then onwards. Meanwhile visited hyderabad to resolve the pending issues about my marriage. Finallllllyyyyyyy. Everything is in place and we are getting married with the consent of our parents. It was a tough time but all of us got through it.
After coming back I got involved in the passport process again. Amidst all this Joy (one of my cousins from Delhi) came to Bombay. He wanted to see the city and spend some time with us. He stayed with us for four days and we did wander a lot. Then came Rahul (my cousins husband) and I went with him to new bombay for a day to give him some company. On my final day I realized that I did not spend much time with my friends at the colony. Took them for dinner. Also met the elderly at the dinner organized on the evening of 26th.
The trip was hectic and filled with fun. Furthermore I am so excited about my marriage now. Really feel relieved that everythingz in place. Passport screwed me but bad experices are bound to happen in ones life. Whatever it is. I can now become a passport agent when I go back to India.
