Death penalty on trial
After a long time I read a non-fiction. A book by Bill Curtis called "Death Penalty on Trial". It starts with reasons and justifications on governor George Ryan's decision to abolish capital punishment from the state of Illinois. It delves into two cases - the Ray Krone case and Thomas Kimbell case. The judgement on both those cases led to a death penalty. Bill Curtis has definitely exposed the fallacies of a judiciary system that according to him is not capable of making decisions with certainty - and hence must never be allowed to impart capital punishment.
A very nice and short book. Highly recommended.
